Problem

Club commercial directors had no single place to track sponsorship activity across European football’s top leagues. Intelligence was scattered across disparate sources, with no way to benchmark rivals or identify gaps in their own portfolio in any structured way.

Approach

Working closely with the product owner, I helped shape the feature set through direct feedback sessions with major clubs, translating their needs into concrete UI decisions. The club comparison tool came directly out of those conversations. With SportBusiness’s two decades of trusted data as the foundation, the main design challenge was making that depth immediately navigable, balancing quick daily check-ins against deeper analytical sessions without the interface becoming overwhelming.

Solution

A hybrid dashboard and editorial platform built around three core needs: tracking the latest deals, comparing clubs and sectors, and diving into activation case studies. Clear information hierarchy kept the data-dense analytics and editorial content distinct but connected, with advanced filtering giving users precise control over how they cut the data.

Outcome

Soccer Pro was adopted by Tottenham Hotspur, Napoli, and AS Roma, becoming a daily tool for commercial teams identifying gaps in their sponsorship sectors. The combination of live deal data and editorial depth proved to be the differentiator, giving clubs context alongside the numbers.
